Facebook Facial Recognition Could Get Creepy – Yahoo! News: "- Sent using Google Toolbar"

There have been rumors that facial recognition is coming to Facebook. I was surprised to learn that this already exists within Facebook. But the context of what I “heard” today was about availability to search engines.

Look over this article. Facebook always seems to expose and then “fix” later. That’s often too late.

PlayStation Network hacked, data on millions at risk – SC Magazine UK:

Big worries if you are one of them. While security experts point out that Sony did the right thing by communicating often, the long and drawn out process isn’t sitting well with many. Considering the size and scope (that we can’t truly appreciate), they have to do this slowly. Certainly there are considerations like forensics and while they are also trying to get things back up and running, they don’t want to “restore” and bring the same problem back online…assuming that they know how it happened.

If you are one of the people affected, data that contains details about you has been compromised. The question is how much and what data. To date, it does not look as if they know that credit card info has been exposed.

Right now, change your passwords … all of them for every account you have. Start treating all communications as suspect; be it physical or electronic mail or phone calls. Do not make matters worse for you by giving out information to someone else. The fact of the matter is that Sony can’t say for sure that your credit card info hasn’t been breached, so close that Credit Card account and tell the bank why. Get on record now. This is a no brainer.
