Monthly Archives: April 2010

The past 30 days have been pretty hectic to computer users. We’ve seen some pretty hefty vulnerabilities in PDFs (more than just Adobe this time). Additionally, Apple has not escaped the bad month with updates to QuickTime and iTunes, and then there was the Apple update in late March that addressed 91 separate CVEs. Firefox updates were thrown into the mix, as were updates in Safari. Microsoft joined the ranks with Out-Of-Band IE Bulletin, and today, the released 11 bulletins that addresses several vulnerabilities; several of them major. If your PC is prompting you for an update tonight…DO IT ASAP. Hopefully, PCs in your possession are set for automatic updates and will get the updates automatically (3am-ish).

ADMINISTRATORS: Those that manage Windows Servers (with SMTP services) and Exchange servers should know that a publicly available and exploitable vulnerability exists. Of course, test test test is always a good practice.
